The mood of the benefits of antioxidants in chocolate have long been known, but now the manager has revealed a secret sound – it can also prevent cancer and heart disease. Dark chocolate, eaten without milk, has been shown that more antioxidants than red wine and green tea contain. To understand the significance of this discovery, we need to understand why antioxidants are so important to the human organism.

Since the body uses oxygen, highly reactive byproducts are formed, so-called free radicals. Antioxidants in chocolate may help fight them. In short, a free radical is an atom or molecule that in chemical processes used in the body to function, it loses an electron. The manner in which these agents operate unfairly on the surface, simple: an atom missing one electron is unstable, and attempts to restore stability, either fold or get an electron. When free radicals steal success or donate an electron to another molecule, it will stabilize. Molecule, or obtained from the electrons, but is not stable, and becomes a free radical itself.
